What is personal information?
“Personal information” means information or an opinion about an identified individual (or an individual who could be reasonably identified), regardless of whether the information is true, or whether the information is recorded in a material form, as defined in section 4 of the PIPP Act.
For example, personal information can be information that identifies you and could include:
- a record which may include your name, email address and other details about you

The personal information collected and maintained by Lotus Learning could include:
- your name
- date of birth
- email address
- contact details, and
- information specific to your dealing or enquiry with us.

Your personal information will be used for the primary purpose for which it was collected, or for related purposes that you would reasonably expect.
This may include:
- Responding to your enquiry and communicating with you
- Matching students with suitable tutors
- Providing tutoring services
- Sharing relevant information with tutors for the purpose of delivering lessons
- Managing lesson scheduling and ongoing communication
- Maintaining internal records
- Complying with legal obligations
- Maintaining payment records
We may also use your contact details to provide information about our services, unless you request not to receive such communications.
Your personal information will not be used for unrelated purposes without your consent.
